It is a multinational financial services company headquartered in San Francisco. Providing financial services basically mean that they are a bank and comes with numerous banking facilities. I guess the word "bank" just doesn't fit their company image. Wells Fargo is also the second largest bank in deposits, home mortgage servicing and debit card, which is kind of impressive since they do not have the kind of brand name the other major banks have. Not to mention, they aren't that popular outside of the United States. Anyway, it is kind of sad to see our banks having to depend on the government for handouts and support. I would expect them to be the pillars of our economy, but sadly, it is the other way around. Shows you how unstable and weak our financial situation is. Perhaps it is time for our government to seriously look into what those corporate types are doing to our country.
