Everytime I see groups of healthcare professionals grouping together to form some huge conglomerate, my heart skips a beat. Perhaps it is because my pacemaker is telling me that I should stop worrying. But I don't know why I don't trust such big organization trying to control all aspects of my health. UnitedHealth is one of the world's largest provider of healthcare and healthcare-related services. Heck, they are also one of the largest provider of healthcare insurance, which again makes me very suspicious. Sure they claim to be helping the people, but honestly, I think most likely they are helping themselves. In 2008, they spent 1.8 billion to lobby the government and I don't see any benefit to their customers. Seriously, if they want to help "the people", why are they spending so much of their customers' money on lobbies instead of providing real and affordable healthcare?
