Contrary to their name, they don't sell fridges, unless it is some sort of high end luxury fridge. They are actually a high end department store, which means that they sell high end stuff ranging from clothing to food to kitchen accessories. Department stores are often a shoppers best friend since they contain numerous items for sale under a single roof. Hey, even shopaholics get tired from walking and shopping you know. It makes sense for them to do all their shopping in one area. And if you are looking for bargains or offers, Selfridge isn't the department store for you anyway. We know that England has many of such high end department stores especially in London, probably the reason the Brits are always so snobbish and elitist. Selfridge is the second largest department store in London, next to Harrods. Now they have several department stores all over globe. It seems to me that being snobbish have now spread from England to other parts of the world as well.
