We all love art festivals don't we? Being art-loving people that we are, such art festivals will keep us entertained throughout the year. Thank the gods that they are held at different times of the year. The Salisbury International Arts Festival is held during the May to June period and offers numerous free events to the visitors. And they celebrate all sorts of arts - visual, music, film, performing and even literary. This festival has been held since 1974 and has grown to the size it is now. And since it is held at the beautiful city of Salisbury, it certainly makes a great background settings for the events to come. Just imagine the landscape of  Stonehenge, Old Wardour Castle, the Wiltshire Chalk Downs, and Salisbury Cathedral. Talk about great atmosphere for arts. They claim to deliver up to 120 events - both ticketed and free. Every four years, a new director is choosen to led the festival.
