Want something better than Google Maps? Well, now you have it and it is called NearMap. As why it is called NearMap, I have absolutely no idea. Perhaps it is because it is nearer to the ground than all other maps. Not too sure. But whatever the reason, this Google Maps alternative is great. It contains higher resolution images than what Google offers. And they claim that their maps are more up-to-date, which is good. I hate pouring over outdated maps and only to find that the roads and directions are all wrong. It is pointless to have a map with all the wrong information right? And it is free for non-commerical use. However for other uses, you need to get a license to use their maps. And their main focus is on Australia, so for the rest of the folks out there, sorry you have to deal with Google Maps and all their quirks.
