Since I am no geek, all I know that this software helps to researchers to deposit their research, file information and data, organize information, cite references and manuscripts and share information with girlfriends, imaginary or otherwise. They have also other software for science types as well - visualization and so on. But all their software are only for MacOSX, which is kind of weird considering that anyone with more than half a brain will not use MacOSX and anything related to Apple.
