Tropical zoos - something of a luxury in our country right? I mean we do have several good zoos here but honestly, a tropical zoo is rather rare and so, the Honolulu Zoo is something we should all treasure. And of course people like me, we love zoos. When I was young, I would visit the zoo every chance I get. And oh, my favourite animals are monkeys and elephants. Yes, a bit boring but they are always so fun to watch. My parents think that I am a bit off because I would spend half of my time staring at the animals. Anyway, as the name implies, the Honolulu Zoo is in Hawaii - yes a tropical paradise by itself before it was invaded by us Americans. It has over 1,200 animals with a land area of 42 acres. Not that big but still something of a wonder to me. You can see White Rhinos, Orangutans, Sun Bears, Gharials and many more. If you have a chance, I would highly recommend you to visit this zoo.
