I love movie reviews. You know why? I don't like spending hours in a cinema only to stare at the screen hoping that it would end so that I can continue my sleep. Of course I also don't like to waste my previous time. Yes I do admit I do have some time to waste but I would rather waste them with something good - like a good movie. And cinema tickets are expensive nowadays. It used to be cheap but now with fancy high definition stereo and what-not, most cinema tickets cost a bomb. So I often read movie reviews before choosing which movie to watch. Some of the reviews are pretty accurate (or perhaps after reading them I am biased). Of course there will be some differences in regards to likes and dislikes. But overall, movie reviews are quite accurate or at least they won't be that far off. A horrible movie no matter how you write, it is going to be a horrible movie.
