Relatively well known seller of women's cosmetics & perfume. Why did I say they are relatively well-known? Because from what I read, they are pretty popular among the female folks but I hardly even heard of them before. And I don't think their marketing practices is ethical, considering they are some sort of multi-level marketing company. So the basic idea is that you recruit others into the scheme and these people will then recruit more people into the scheme. Of course, the further down the hierachy, the smaller the pie becomes. These people are supposed to go "door-to-door" to promote and to sell Avon products to others, mostly housewives. They also claim that their method of selling empowers women since it allows them to sell at their own time. They have this "training centres" where they supposedly train recruits in the art of selling. Maybe but I am always suspicious of multi-level marketing schemes. Oh by the way, they have expanded their product range to include children toys and accessories as well as men's products.
