Athens is the capital of Greece by the way. Yes, one of the most romantic gateway you could even find in the Western World, except it is not as popular as Paris or Milan or whatever city in Europe. This site was started in 1995 and the owner Matt Barrett has accumulated so much practical experience in Athens that I would consider this one of the best site to read before you leave for Athens. It contains information on where to stay, what to do, how to get there, what festivals and events are there, nightlife, entertainment and other useful general information on the city.
