| The Backpacker The ultimate hippy guide for those who likes to go on the road. Yes, you will see them very often in the streets of major cities around the world. I don't know whether to envy them or to pity them. I understand the need to have freedom and to travel anyway they like, but pity them when they have to carry big sacks of everything on the backs everywhere they go. But you wll have to admit, they are enjoying life (and dinking copious amounts of beer). Anyway, if you are into backpacking, this is the community site for you to visit. You will find all sorts of discussions like destinations, roads, cities, restaurants, bars, nightlife, hostels, food and so on. They even have ratings by actual users. Also check out their travel guides, especially if you are a first timer to a certain region. It is always good to go prepared. However, the most popular section is probably all the real-life stories by real backpackers. After reading the stories, I threw away my mouse and grabbed my backpack, all ready to venture into other countries. But of course, I couldn't find the nearest bus-stop and had to go back home and look for it on the Internet. |
