| Halfbakery Yup, all the ideas here are half baked, just as in the title of the site. It is a wiki for users to submit ideas and inventions which are not meant for the serious minded. Then readers can add comments and make suggestions to the idea, which usually ends up making it even funnier. And users can also vote for or against an idea, making this pretty much a community effort. Their slogan is "It's not just a good idea, it's also some bad ones." So come and have a look at one of the most interesting and unique websites on the Internet. |

| Energy Saving Now Most people don't realize that you can actually save money in the long run if you use energy saving equipment and accessories. Of course there are always scams and tricksters on the Internet but don't be dishearted. A few years ago, I did buy some adaptor that it supposed to be saving electricity but in actual fact, it didn't do squat. In fact, I believe that adaptor actually wasted more electricity for my home. Energy Saving Now site provides you with tips and advise on how to save energy in your home. They have this very long list of tips which you can use. However it would be better if they at least try to catagorize the tips though. Although some of the tips require some small investment, you should be able to recover them back after a while. One of the "free" tips is to ensure that your appliances are kept clean. I think it is the best advise you can ever have. It actually works - a heater with clean coils will work more efficiently than one which is dirty. And all it requires are a few hours of cleaning per month. |
