They do this first by education and training and with financial assistance. They work with universities and schools to help promote entrepreneurship and leadership among the young. They aslo help by changing the environment for entrepreneurship to start and develop. Creating a cubicle for entrepreneurs to grow and foster "a society of economically independent individuals". | Organisation for Economic Co-operation and Development With such a tedious name, they better be doing something important. And they are. They are some sort of organization that promotes economic and social well-being of people around the world. Basically they help people find better ways of living and doing business. But they do it on the governmental level iunlike others who are doing the work on the ground. Of course it is impossible to say which method is better so I guess if both helps, why not? Their aim is to make governments around the world realize that they need to restore confidence in the markets as well as establish healthy public finances and this will result further growth. And once that is done, they hope to ensure that people of all age group will have "satisfying" jobs and work productivity. Sounds confusing? Not really. What they want is to encourage development growth in all countries which will benefit everyone in return. A very big task indeed. I think governments around the world could benefit if they at least listen to what they have to say. Not saying that they are always right, but sometimes great ideas can come from the outside. |

| Clean Air Council Their motto is "Protecting everyone's right to breathe clean air". What most of us don't realize that breathing clean air is important to our health. Although it is pretty obvious, but we often take it for granted. And there are plenty of sources out there which is polluting our environment like cars, factories, construction, mining and so on. I am pretty sure that these industries provide jobs to the people but we must also take care of our health. Think of it as a compromise. We can have cars and factories and at the same time have good air quality. This council also helps to raise awareness on the problems on poor air quality and what we the home or office user can help to minimize the impact. It isn't actually that difficult. Not to mention, they work with government agencies to implement laws and regulations to ensure that activities do not pollute the environment more than necessary. They are also advocates for proper waste management and recycling. Wow, looks like they have a lot on their plate. But honestly, without these organizations we would probably living in wastelands or areas covered by refuse by now. |

| Clean Air Canada Even those people up north have problems with their environment. I mean if I am living there, I would probably spend my time hunting or gathering wood or something. Just look at the beautiful landscape there - full of forests and animals just waiting for you to live off the land. Why would someone want to pollute that environment I just don't understand. It is just so beautiful. Anyway, for those who seek to destroy the beauty of Canada, please have a look at this website first. It contains some very useful information on the laws and regulations in Canada regarding environment and pollution. If you are someone keen on fighting against these errant polluters, check out their Clean Air Handbook. It provides you with facts and figures, as well as the action you can take against people who are constantly trying to destroy the environment. Of course I am not one to encourage anyone to take drastic action like those crazy tree-hugging peeps but it is good to know your rights. And clean air and a clean environment means you will have better health. That is a fact that cannot be changed. |
