Partnership for a Drug-Free America Looking at what is happening to America's drug problem these days, I think we should take serious drastic action to stop the problem from spreading. And in time, try to reverse the damage already done to our society. And one of the ways to stop the drugs from spreading could be from advertisements. I mean, just look how effective advertisements are when it comes to selling us products, even products which we have no need for. Partnership for a Drug-Free America aims to use the media to help spread the message about drugs and the problems they are causing. They hope to "sell" the idea that drugs are not the solution and there are many outlets and support for anyone seeking to stay away from drugs. For those already with a drug or alcohol problem, they are hoping to get these people to seek help and get treatments. They also offer support, help and guides for parents to help them keep their children safe from drugs.

Drug Free Drug abuse guide for parents. Kind of sad to see that with all that a parent has to worry about, one of the worst thing is that their children is falling victim to drug abuse. And not just drugs, alcohol abuse as well. Just imagine seeing your child from a healthy bubbly teenager to a drug addict. Yes, I have to admit parents nowadays are pretty busy with their work and so on, thus their children are often left to fend for themselves. Who knows who they meet or who they hang out with. And the shady fellows and "bad" friends that they come in contact with. On this site, you can find ways to prevent and intervene and getting treatment if needed. Of course the final step would be for your child to recover and get away from drugs forever. They have tons of information on the types of drugs, the affects of drugs, how to spot an addict, images and many more. Not something that easy that is why parents need all the help they can get. Read up on stories on how families are affected by such substance abuse, not just the victims. If you want to help, donate to their cause.

National Institute on Drug Abuse Drug abuse is a problem in our modern society. No matter how sheltered your upbring is, you will at least have seen a few cases of such abuse going on. In fact, I think it is a very common problem. And the social impact is very serious. More serious than what most of us would gather. Of course like most of the problems we face today, there is no easy solution. A combination of easy access, stress, poverty, lack of jobs, social status, poor government enforcement, lack of education and countless other factors have created this drug problem. However, we have some organizations on our side to help us combat this problem. The National Institute on Drug Abuse tries to fight the problem through research and science. We need to really understand the underlying problem, in order to solve it. As I said, there is no easy solution, thus we have to spend time and effort to study drug abuse. Read up on articles, research materials, science, statistics and other publications by healthcare professionals and researchers.

Talking Drugs It is all about drugs. Don't worry, there is nothing illegal going on here. It is some sort of discussion forum for anything related to drugs and drug abuse. Actually I find that such forums are more of a help than all those offical channels where you have to go through hops and what-not to get any real help. Perhaps that is the problem of bureaucracy? Has its good points and bad points I guess. If you have your share of stories on drug and substance abuse, why not share them with others. I believe that this is a better way to help combat drug abuse. Anyone reading the stories can relate to them because the stories are written real individuals who have faced the same problem as well. Think of it as social networking for drug abusers or relatives of drug abusers. Well yes, of course relatives will be affected as well. You really think that no one else is affected? You can also read up on the latest news on the war against drugs, which I think is a losing battle because we are simply going about the wrong way.
