They are actually a high end department store, which means that they sell high end stuff ranging from clothing to food to kitchen accessories. Department stores are often a shoppers best friend since they contain numerous items for sale under a single roof. Hey, even shopaholics get tired from walking and shopping you know. It makes sense for them to do all their shopping in one area. And if you are looking for bargains or offers, Selfridge isn't the department store for you anyway. We know that England has many of such high end department stores especially in London, probably the reason the Brits are always so snobbish and elitist. Selfridge is the second largest department store in London, next to Harrods. Now they have several department stores all over globe. It seems to me that being snobbish have now spread from England to other parts of the world as well.

You love department stores? Of course you do. You can do your shopping under one roof and in style as well. That is why department stores are always so popular. Every weekend you will see tons of shoppers flocking to whatever department store there is. They might not be the cheapest nor the most comprehensive but still shoppers flock there like there is no tomorrow. I am not too sure whether this is a good thing - in the end it becomes the brands not the goods they sell that is the key factor. Anyway, their products are the same as most other department stores - clothing, fashion, perfumes, shoes, gifts and so on.
