| First World War The purpose of this website is to provide an overview of the First World War. Necessarily a long-term undertaking - and approaching seven years into the process - much remains to be covered.
Whole aspects of the conflict are light on material at present - rest assured, this is not deliberate: in time it should all find its place on the site.
A word of caution however; this is by no means a professional website. It's authored as spare time permits and is intended at a general rather than academic readership. - |

| WW2History If you are into history or you are a World War 2 buff, you should take a look at this website. Yes, it is not a comprehensive site on the subject, but it is interactive. Very different from the rest of the WW2 sites is that you are able to get useful information and find the things inside interesting. If you are looking for information alone, then there are many other sites available. But if you are attempting to get into what happened and not get bored by words, then try this site out. It is created by Laurence Ress, a very famous historian and filmmaker. They have video content, testimony from eye witness accounts, expert interviews and nearly everything you want from a history site. I honestly enjoy reading through this site even though the content isn't exactly that numerous. But in time they would most probably have added enough information and content to make this site one of the best. I forgot to tell you that while some content are free, most requires you to pay a subscription. |

| WorldWar-2.net You love reading history books? Then you will love this site. This is one of the most comprehensive site on the subject of World War 2 - yes, that terrible conflict that claimed millions and millions of lives and countless number of other casualties. It involved so many countries and created so many problems that the world changed completely. Hey, for history guys, this site is a treasure trove of information for you to boast to your friends. I think this is a great read, if you have the time that is. I am not talking about the general picture of major events or battles but a very wide picture of the entire conflict. And you will get frequent updates on the timeline of the war - like what happen during the same month during the war , so check back often. I have to admit it can be rather difficult to search through the website to find the information you need. yes, they do have timelines but that is about it. Since this site is rather massive, you might not be able to easily sort through whatever information you find. |

| Second World War History A pretty good website on the subject of the second world war. Of course everyone has heard of this terrible war but not many knows what exactly went on during those times. Even history lessons are rather vague and does not tell the whole story. Heck, even history sites like these do not tell the whole story. However, if you are looking for some help in your history project or if you just want to know more about that war, visit this website. This site is all about be concise - it is all about the facts on the war. So if you are looking for straightforward answers, look no further. I would prefer a little more about the happenings and the events but most people would not have the time or the inclination to read what really happens, so this site will do. You can read through the war by the timeline and all major battles are included. In my opinion, this is not the way to understand World War 2, but then honestly most people just don't care. However, if you need concise facts on the major battles, this is the site to go. |
