Never heard of this site? Well, same here until now. WOT (Web of Trust) is supposed to be a "safe" tool for users to check whether the site they want to visit is considered safe or not. You know, they are many bad people on the Internet right? They want to steal your information, rob you of your life savings and then stalk you continously. You can avoid that by using WOT's website or installing an add-on to your browser which will tell you whether the site in question has been blacklisted or not. They get their information of websites from the community of users whose recommendations and alerts will help improve and update the blacklist of sites. However, they also provide the ratings from other "reliable" sources as well. If you don't trust the web (and you shouldn't), you can install their add-on on your browser and let WOT help you choose the site to go. It is interesting to note that you can pay WOT money to have the "WOT" seal on your website. I wonder whether this will affect the WOT ratings themselves.
