Divine Caroline I love reading blogs. Why? Because people's lives can be so interesting. Just like our own lives. Anyway, this is one of the more popular blogs out there, dealing mainly with life, health, relationship, leisure and everything else. The name Divine Caroline does not mean that this blog is written completely by one women, but a group of bloggers with the same interests. And this is indeed a blog for women. I mean it is about health and relationship, surely the men would never understand complicated things like this. Yes, most but not all, since I am a guy and completely heterosexual I must add. Some of the posts don't interest me, like beauty, body and so on but the health, food and relationship portion does. I have to admit, I do enjoy reading this blog and some have even inspired me to actually do something about myself. Food, my favourite topic comes up pretty often, so I am glad. But I won't want to be caught by my friends when I am surfing this site though - they might all think I have gone fruity.

Wakerupper Very interesting site - this is basically a telephone enabled website which "phones" the user at a sheduled time and alerts the user with a voice message. And all you have to do is to type the message on their site and it will translate to something like a voice memo. And it is free! Unique service this one. Usually we get reminders via email or text messages, but this goes one step ahead with voice messaging. They have a premium service which allows users to have recurring calls, snooze and voice reminders. Cool, my favourite size for someone who is very forgetful like me. My family would be glad as well.

Tributes A little freaky to think about it but come on, but everyone dies sooner or later. And since we have obituaries in the papers, why not have one online. You get the share the life of a loved one, even if he/she is decreased. Sometimes it can be more inspiring than some hero which you read in the papers. Tributes offers online obituaries as well as information on famous decreased celebrity or someone famous or important. It also offers online community support to anyone who has recently lost a loved one. No matter what, I think that everyone has a story to tell, so why not? You can search through their online death notices and obituaries. I don't know why you would do it unless you have some hated enemy which you can't wait for him/her to die.

The Garden Helper Plants often die under your care? Even your grandmother would not leave her potted flowers to you? Well, maybe you got it all wrong. Perhaps you just don't understand how living things work? If you are into gardening and you often wonder why all your plants die under your care, then perhaps you should visit this site. The Garden Helper is exactly what it is, a site to help gardeners start making a real garden come alive again. And this site is for all levels - beginners to those with greenhouses in their backyards. They started in 1997 and they should have gathered tons of experience by now. Surely you would benefit from their advise and tips. I believe gardening is a good way to get back to nature, even if we are all surrounded by concrete. If you have a small garden, you could check out what types of plants and flowers you can easily grow in your garden. If you have something like a football field, you can check out their site and look for whatever plants that can grow like weeds. Again, I think if you have some space available, you should try growing something - anything green or with flowers would make your place look much better.

Wild Fermentation Most people don't realize that fermentation is important. In fact, a lot of the healthiest foods are made through the fermentation process. We think of fermentation as making alcohol, but honestly there are many other foods that are fermented - chocolate, sauerkraut, cheese, Kimchi, fish sauce, soya sauce, tempeh, yogurt and numerous other traditional foods are all made by fermentation. Yes, these are all healthy foods one should consume in good amounts. Anyway, Wild Fermentation is all about fermentation - how to make this and that fermentated food. Supermarkets are great but if you want to extend the usefulness of food, you should try fermentation. This site shows you how. And it is not that difficult. I mean these are usually traditional foods, made by the previous generation. How complex can it be? Kimchi is just vegetables with salt. Yogurt is just milk with yogurt cultures. It is easy, fun and most important, the foods will taste great and if you consume them, you will be healthy. Try it out!

Complete Bamboo Me kid you now. There is a site out there dedicated to bamboo. Yes, that every weird thick plant that grows in some exotic location in the far east. You get mats, you get holders, you get chairs, you get whatever - they are made from those super strong bamboos. So if you are interested in this plant, have a look at their website. It contains information like how to grow the bamboos, what are the uses of bamboo, species of the plant, history and virtually anything about bamboo. I am just shocked that there is so much interest in bamboo. I had thought that it was only use in making sushi. Now I understand that it can be used to make vitually anything requiring hard wood. Wow! If you have a backyard, you might want to plant some bamboos yourself. They are very hardy things and very useful as well. They have a list of bamboo suppliers. And you have to admit, having bamboos in your backyard really liven things up right? It is exotic, neat looking and from what I read, not very expensive to grow and maintain.
