ArtLex Art Dictionary For artistic people like me, I usually visit tons of art and art-related sites. I mean, just look at how creative my directory is designed - just like a work of art. But for those who are not as artistic as me or have never been too cultured, then you should browse ArtLex Art Dictionary. Why? Well, with the information contained inside, anyone can discuss about art now. At least your peers will think you know a little about art and your social standing will definitely improve. This little art dictionary has more than 3,600 defintions for phrases and terms used in the creative field, so you won't give the blank look when someone asks your opinion on the Baroque style. Contained inside includes supporting images, pronounciation notes, great quotations and cross-references.

QuietWrite Very useful for writers. Especially writers who get distracted easily. And yes, I am one of them. Everytime when I start to write my blog, I will often get distracted with some other things, thus more often than not, my articles don't get completed in time. However, they have created this little service called QuietWrite. It is supposed to help writers get away from all those distractions and start doing what they are supposed to be doing - writing. It comes with a minimalist interface so that you can concentrate on writing. All you have to do is to sign up and you are done. There is no icons or whatever - just a blank box for you to write what you need to write. It auto-saves every few seconds so that you won't lose a thing. I have to agree with your idea - all those clutter just makes writing more difficult. A nice quiet place to write is very important for writers. Oh, and QuietWrite works on iPad which is pretty cool. However, I doubt that anyone using the iPad is into writing though.

Eventzilla The Godzilla for events! Basically it is a platform for organizers to manage their events/classes/conferences online and let others sign up or join those events. Pretty useful if you need a real feature packed online tool to help you organize your event properly. You can keep track of your attendees, the number of people attending, who has cancelled and so on. It allows users to set prices and book tickets for your events as well. So just set it all up with the corresponding prices and let Eventzilla do all the work. Payments are even accepted. They also help you promote your events on social networking sites like Facebook and Twitter. And all these are for free, which means you don't need to pay a single dime. However for paid events, your customers will have to pay a flat fee for each ticket. Not too bad considering that they do all the work for you and save you the hassle for managing the ticketing process.
